Right now, the kids are all out of school for the month of August. Some of them are visiting their rural homes to greet their grandmas and show them how much they’ve grown.
We only have 14 people at home (out of 21) so things seem quiet. Everyone except Mildred will return on Thursday. Mildred will be back a few days after that.
Grace is at a hair salon getting her hair relaxed. I think she’s tickled pink about it. She’s very fashionable and has a need to ‘look smart.’ It’s interesting to note that passion. The other girls don’t seem to be as picky about their clothing and hair styles as Grace, although they do appreciate a new outfit as any girl would!
Otherwise, the kids here are having fun playing card games, pretending, reading, etc… Just now, I saw Mercy Anyango reading to an audience of Makena, Edith, Sarah, Teresa, BT, and Butterfly. Andrew is off riding his bike, I think.
It’s wonderful to provide a care-free atmosphere where kids can be kids! Now, I’ve been invited to a tea party. Gotta run!
