Meet Our Team
Johnny and Kate Brooks live in Nakuru, Kenya as missionaries. Together they opened up A Future and a Hope, a home for orphaned girls. They have four children of their own. Both of them attended Bible school, and have been in ministry for many years. In addition to the orphanage they minister to the sick and poor here in Kenya.
Ben and Pauline are Kenyans living with Johnny and Kate in Nakuru, Kenya. Together the four of them manage the home and minister to the sick and poor. Ben walks the neighborhoods in search of those who are sick, especially those who have HIV/AIDS.
Lonnie and Patti Hatfield currently reside in the USA, but have plans on moving to Kenya sometime in the future. The role they are playing in the project is evolving still, but they have been very helpful in all kinds of way up to this time. Every project needs a Babu Lonnie and Patti to encourage, guide, and otherwise be wise and helpful.
James and Sally Asuma assist us with visiting the sick and poor here in Nakuru. Sally has also been providing confidential counseling for the girls on Saturdays. We coordinate all our visits and assistance to the poor through James' ministry and office which is called Giving & Rescue Christian Care Interlink.
Abdi Ali Abdi and his wife Virginia handle the agricultural portion of our project. Ali and I sat down one day and brainstormed on ways that we could help the project become somewhat self-sustaining. We concluded that farming was the best way to go.
James, Heather, and Rachel contribute posts to our blogs. They have a heart after God, and we appreciate the insight they offer. Look for their stuff on Sunday's.
Jennifer lives in the USA and assists us with checking the mail and depositing any money that may come in. I have to say that is a very important role to play, and we appreciate it so much.
