I had the privilege of taking the boys from “Christopher’s House” to lunch today. It was the first time I have gotten to do anything special with the boys since we built the home in April 2009. At that time George was the only child we had. George suffered an injury and was unable to go to lunch with us but the rest of us headed out to the best Chinese Restaurant in Nakuru.
None of the boys had ever tasted this type food so it was gonna be really great or really bad. Being the pro at eating I am I order for all of us. We had Chicken Egg Rolls and Crispy Noodles for appetizers then Gong Boa Chicken-mild, Beef with Mushrooms and Sweet and Sour Pork Spare Ribs topped off with a choice of Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry Ice Cream. Of course there were sodas all around. By the way it was the first time three of the four boys had ever eaten ice cream.
Top left to right is Ali & Virginia the awesome house parents to these boys. Enoch is trying to warm up the ice cream, it’s too cold. John, well he’s smiling on the inside. Bottom left to right is Richard…he’s just thinking and finally Gregory, him he’s probably thinking of something to get into. Missing as I said is George but we took him some ice cream home. So here’s a picture of him and his response to the ice cream.
He does have a little on his mouth but after all he is injured.
Babu had a wonderful day with his Mfrica grand sons and look forward to many many more.
PS: there was not a morsel of food left, I think they liked it!
