I am not sure how to help the warring tribes here to make peace. The hostility between them is deep and old. However what I do know is that acts of kindness go a long way in reminding folks what being human is all about.
Today we will be visiting some refugees. They have fled their homes and come to Nakuru seeking safe haven. There are about a 100 sleeping in a local church known as Charismata Revivals Network. We will visit tomorrow and see what we can do. There are thousands more arriving today. Many have come from Eldoret under a military escort.
I am hoping to be able to purchase some food for them and maybe some water. Perhaps I will stay late in the evening and show a movie or something. Try to get their minds off seeking revenge.
If the situation is appropriate I will take some pictures to share.
Thank you everyone for all the prayers. While the crisis is far from being over, calm seems to have returned to some of the country.
